Late 1960's Model 14 in MINT condition.
The great knife is an Orlando forged blade with the desireable separate "S" stamp. Large brass hilt and a handle of the micarta of the day. The thong hole is correct, unlined, and has the correct parachute cord wrist thong of the period.
While the knife is an outstanding example of the type, the sheath is the kicker to this piece. I have only seen a couple like it of this vintage - a Maurice Johnson made model "B" sheath stamped for a model 14, super rare in its own right, plus it is black!! Normally you would see this knife in a riveted model "C" sheath.
A choice knife/sheath combo for the model 14 and/or Viet Nam era collector.
