This is a mid 80’s model 1-7″ in stellar condition. Orlando forged 01 blade, and  double nickel silver hilt. The 7″ 01 steel blade is untouched, and in remarkable condition. There is a date etched on the reverse side of the blade. I am told it represents the date of a gift of the knife. Five thin spacers at the hilt.

The handle is the ubiquitous Westinghouse Ivorite micarta, aka “Ol’ Yeller”.  This example is topped off by a duralumin butt cap, which is often absent on non-leather handles, and is an option. Finally, a thong. These old Westinghouse handles are getting more difficult to find.

The mint rough back sheath is a Johnny Johnson made example. You can’t go wrong with a Model 1-7″, with one of the most desirable handle materials the shop ever used.
