This is a special piece, with all the bells and whistles. The stainless blade is excellent plus, and barely shows a couple of very, very light “freckles”. You gotta really look for them at the right angle in the light. Not a distraction. The stag handle is simply beautiful. One of the nicest vintage stag handles I have seen in some time. See photos. The finger grips suit the hand well.
A black face compass in the butt and a high handle thong of the period round out the knife. The compass has a slight crack, but it does not affect function.
The early Maurice Johnson sheath is in near mint condition. This superb example shows no use.
