Mint condition Model 12 Little Bear Bowie.  Forged stainless steel  blade. The Orlando forged blade is bright and shows no use or sharpening,  like it just left the shop. Brass hilt shows very light patina and was likely polished at some time. 
 
Of note is the reverse spacer arrangement of b-w-r-w-b, opposite of the standard spacer stack used since WWII. Intentional or a shop mistake? Hard to say, burt my guess is intentional. 
 
The Westinghouse Micarta  –  Old Yeller – border patrol  handle (early for this handle) has mellowed to a yellow/orange color and is embellished with an outstanding early (#119) Rick Bowles scrimshaw of a 10 point buck standing by the edge of the woods looking back over his right shoulder. Exemplary work. 
 
Johnson rough-back sheath is unused and shows no issues, with a slight line from the hilt at the throat .
