“SS” blade stamped model 7 in excellent condition.

The “SS” stamping is rare on any model, but particularly so on a field knife.

Aside from the stamping, what is really unique about this piece is the Delrin handle. By all accounts, Delrin was not in use in 1963, the time of the “SS” blade stamp. Ivory was still available.

My guess it the blade was sitting in the bin and was pulled out several years later when a stainless model 7 was ordered and at the time Delrin was available.

Nickel silver hilt, nickel silver escutcheon plate, seven spacers, and duralumin butt round out the package.
