Super cool and rare Sportsman’s Bowie with nice options and a Maurice Johnson Riveted Sheath!!!!
Product Details
Excellent 9″ Sportsman’s Bowie from the late 1960’s to early 1970’s with some nice options.
Blade is unused and beautiful. Hard to believe it is probably around 50 years old.
The brass forward curved hilt is large and measures a full 3 1/2″.
Nicely figured stag really sets this handle off. Finger grips and a brass escutcheon plate are nice shop options and work well with this blade grind.
Finally is the riveted sheath, almost unheard of. I have seen only a handful over the years, so they are very difficult to come by for sure. It is in excellent condition really only showing handling, no use. I have included a comparison photo to a standard 7 1/2″ riveted sheath.
Correct Bear SP-13 Soft Arkansas stone, unused, in the stone pouch.
