  • Beautiful Separate “S” Model 2-7 Nice!!
  • This is a beautiful example of a Viet Nam era model 2 with great options.
  • First is the stainless steel blade with the separate “S” stamp.
  • Second is the nickle silver hilt.

Third is the black micarta handle with seven spacers at the hilt.

  • Fourth is the wrist thong, which is unusual for a knife this late in the game without a buttcap. Traditionally you would see this on predominantly stag handled 40’s and 50’s knives. This one from the mid to late 60’s is a rare bird. The shop produced wrist thong hole is the correct size and is correctly chamferred.

  • Fifth is the black Maurice Johnson sheath.

  • Of course it comes with the correct two-tone combination crystolon stone.
  • The conditon is near mint with only a few slight “sheath” scratches that are only visible when viewed at the right angle in the light.

  • This is a great example of a piece produced when the Viet Nam war was escalating. I did not do any reasearch of the name on the blade, but you never know what you may find.
