Mint condition Model 12 “Little Bear” Bowie with a fabulous early – #119 – Bowles scrimshaw of a 10 pt buck looking back over its right shoulder.
The Orlando forged stainless steel blade is bright and shows no use or sharpening, like it just left the shop.
Brass single hilt has a light patina, having been polished at some point in the past.
Another unique feature is the spacer arrangement. B W, R, W. B, opposite of the standard stack dating back to mid WWII. Intentional or shop mistake? Hard to say, but it would seem to be intentional based on the fact the spacer stack had not changed in 60+ years when this knife was made.
Johnson rough back sheath shows no issues, and is in excellent condition. Not only is Rick’s work impeccable, his subject matter is the best.
