This example was made in the late-1960’s, evident by the lack of a choil. This follows the original design that was eventually changed. This old grind has the look we want. 

 

The 4 3/4″ 01 steel blade is unsharpened and unused,  and again, the old style grind as originally designed. .

 

The stag handle has ‘subdued’ finger grips that are very comfortable in the hand, and which complement the overall appearance of the knife. 

 

The Johnson Rough Back Sheath does not appear to have anything more than some handling, and is in great shape
